December 2010: Inmote presents at M-Days (27th - 28th January 2011)

Frankfurt – Inmote will exhibit at M-Days on 27-28 January 2011. M-Days is the largest European congress-fair for mobile communication, publishing and content solutions.

Inmote will be speaking at the congress on cross platform development using PhoneGap and MoSync.

Further Inmote will showcase it's new remote desktop solution (RDP) for Nokia N8. RDP for Nokia N8 provides you with cloud based computing and can be a huge cost saver. Let us show you how we replace your desktop PC by a Nokia N8 with stunning ease of use.

November 2010: VentureLab program spurs growth for Inmote into 2011

Enschede - Inmote is participating in the VentureLab Twente program. VentureLab is a business growth accelerator for high tech companies in the area. The program offers business development training on topics like strategy, commercial management, finance, technology management, organisation and personal and teams skills. VentureLab provides access to market data and industry experts.

Together with my personal coach Marc Sandelowsky I hope to prepare Inmote for a bright future. It is expected that Inmote will benefit from the VLT program through a better background in enterpreneurship, strong personal development and a good platform for networking and business development.

November 2010: Inmote starts partnership with Opticon



Nijverdal - We have a strong believe that smartphones can play an important role in enterprise solutions. The main feature which a smartphone is lacking compared to a ruggedized handheld device is the barcode scanner. Though it is possible nowadays to scan a barcode using the camera of the mobile phone the scanning experience is good enough for an mission critical application.

Inmote has found a very portable solution with the Opticon Bluetooth barcode scanner OPL2724.

Combine barcode scanner with a smartphone and consult Inmote to develop a mobile sales, transport, parcel delivery or any other type of mobile enterprise application and you have a very cost effective solution for your field force.

The OPL-2724 is low cost, small, easy to use and very portable. It runs on two AA batteries which can be purchased anywhere. No charger needed. Together with a smartphone application this is a very low cost alternative to a ruggedized handheld solution.

This brings automated warehousing within the reach of every company. Opticon data collectors scan 1D or 2D barcodes. The keypad and display varies per model. These durable handhelds do an excellent job in any place where you need to store barcodes with a time stamp for registration purposes. Applications range from postal, retail, logistics, access control to data reporting.

Data is communicated to your PC system via a serial cradle (USB or RS232).

November 2010: Inmote opens webshop

Nijverdal - To emphasize Inmote has technical skills which go beyond mobile application development we opened a small webshop at shop.inmote.com. The webshop will initially focus on the Dutch market. Expect to find smartphones from Nokia, Samsung and Sony Ericsson at competitive prices as well as barcoding products (see our announcement of a partnership with Opticon as well).

For Inmote this webshop is an experiment in e-commerce. We like to achieve win-win situations for our customers by providing cost effective solutions in (mobile) internet. How could we better consult our customers as by experiencing the pains and benefits of different e-commerce and m-commerce technologies ourselves? The current webshop is a reasonable quick setup. However, we expect a requirement to move quickly to other e-commerce systems like Magento or OS Commerce and create a strong integration with our back office systems (AccountView) and automatic import of data from suppliers (ICE.cat) to be able to run this operation efficiently.

To implement webshops and (mobile) internet solutions we master a broad scale of technologies like PHP programming, mySQL database management, C# and Qt programming, J2EE, SEO and internet security techniques. Beyond pure technology we know the business domain of retail, warehousing and logistics. November 2010: New job openings at Inmote

Nijverdal - To strenghten our team and prepare for 2011 Inmote is looking to fullfill at least one of these positions: lead software developer, a junior software developer and/or a business development manager. November 2010: Inmote is ICT&Office member

Nijverdal - Inmote is a member of ICT & Office. ICT & Office is the Dutch association for IT companies. ICT & Office represents approximately 500 companies in the Netherlands who work in IT, Telecom, Internet and Office automation. Jointly these companies employ 250.000 people and generate 30 billion euro revenue. This makes ICT & Office the most important industry body to take care of the interests of the ICT industry in the Netherlands.

Through membership of ICT & Office Inmote tries to contribute to an innovative ICT environment in the Netherlands. Further Inmote uses the Trading Terms & Conditions from ICT & Office which give our customers the assurance that that they are engaging with Inmote into projects on fair and industry standard terms and conditions.

November 2010: Inmote presents at SEE 2010



Amsterdam - It has been a busy week starting with the Qt workshop organized by Nokia in Amsterdam.

On Wednesday Inmote had the opportunity to have a say about how we make our money with Symbian OS. Download our contribution here.

Though Nokia has announced changes for the Symbian Foundation we feel Symbian OS continues to have a bright future. This is supported by Gartner and IDC who foresee a 30% - 33% market share for Symbian OS by 2014 followed closely by Android.

Recently ARTEMIS approved a 22 million EU funding to turn Symbian OS into a leading European mobile and embedded operating system. Expect to see new features like cloud computing, more power efficiency and asymmetrical multi-core processing.

July 2010: Inmote present at OSIM 2010

Nijverdal – Inmote will exhibit at OSIM 2010 on 19-20 October 2010. OSIM stands for “Open Software in Mobile”. Symbian OS, Qt, MeeGo and Android are all open source platforms and will play an important role in the mobile industry in the upcoming years. The target audience for OSIM will consists of key decision makers from operators, handset manufacturers, software developers, OS companies as well as media and content players, SaaS and web services players. March 10: Symbian OS market share

Nijverdal – For the past two events we have collected a lot of market data about Symbian OS. Now we have summarized the most recent public market facts about Symbian OS in a nice article which you can read here. With an estimated installed base of 150 million units and a global market share of 46.2% in Q3 2009 Symbian OS is a very viable platform to deploy mobile services. And with new announcements of Symbian phones by Nokia and exciting new technologies (Qt) in Symbian^3 and Symbian^4 it is time to learn about Symbian OS and start to develop for Symbian OS. Feb 10: Mobile Times 2010

Düsseldorf – Inmote will be presenting on Mobile Times 2010 on March 4th (Thursday). On the event René will be talking about how developers can make money by developing for Symbian OS. The presentation will be full with marketshare facts. We will also show it is easy to develop for Symbian OS. And we will compare with other mobile OSes as well as discuss porting strategies.

Of course this is a good opportunity to meet face to face with Inmote, discuss and share your ideas about your next mobile service and get to know our development approach including training or consulting possibilities.
