The NRC newspaper (article in Dutch) in the Netherlands reported in January about the possibility to deploy private mobile networks (PMNs) in the Netherlands. Enterprises can deploy their own low power GSM/GPRS network. This has numerous advantages. GSM coverage of a pico cell is much larger as for DECT or WiFi. And GSM/GPRS provides both data and voices services. All standard mobile phones from a variety of handsets manufacturers can be used and there is no concern if the supplier of your DECT phones will still supply these phones in future.



When using Nokia E-Series or N-Series handsets Inmote provides a small utility to ensure your company phones always will use your company private GSM/GPRS network when your employees are on your company premises. This allows for free data and voice communication on your company premises between your employees. You can deploy PMNs on multiple company branches and interconnect the subnets through VOIP connections.
